Here's some useful information before you set sail on your VIVA river cruise.

Your check-in is done in person and not online. . This will happen when guests reach the ship as soon as they board. As a rule, embarkation/check-in begins two hours before the start of the trip and thus usually from 15:00. You will receive more information about the embarkation two weeks before departure with your travel documents.

Disembarkation on the day of departure takes place after breakfast at 09:30 at the latest. Please take this into account when planning your departure. If you need a cab, please let our reception know until the day before departure.

Passports are required for all cruises. Please check that your passport has at least 6 months validity from the return date of your trip. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non-British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel. Please always refer to the Foreign Travel Advice by Gov.uk here.

It is a condition of booking that all guests hold fully comprehensive travel insurance that specifically covers cruise holidays, is valid for the entire duration of your chosen itinerary, provides full health coverage for all pre-existing conditions and the costs of medical repatriations, plus specific cover for covid-19 related issues. It should also include Personal Luggage insurance since there is limited liability for loss or damage. Failure to confirm or provide proof of insurance may result in denial of boarding at the Guest's own expense.

There is no restriction on the amount of luggage that you may bring onboard, however, you will be expected to store suitcases in the cabin.

If you are flying to/from your embarkation/disembarkation port, please check with your airline as your luggage allowance will depend on them.

On all VIVA Cruises river cruises, you can expect an extensive breakfast buffet and multi-course gourmet menus, but also individual care for all common food allergies or intolerances.

VIVA cruises can cater for most dietary requirements as long as they are advised well in advance. If you have not already announced your dietary requirements before the trip, please let the reception know on the day of arrival so that the kitchen on board can optimally adjust to your needs.
